I would say a special word of thanks to Susanne, Annemarie and all the team for all the kindness and care. It was very much appreciated - from an extremely nervous patient!

Diet Advice

coffeeFrequent consumption of sugar containing foods and drinks is the most important cause of tooth decay. Every time you eat or drink something sugary, your teeth are under acid attack for up to 1 hour.

To reduce decay it important to reduce in between meal snacking of sugary foods and drinks.

There is evidence of children and young adults drinking sports and emergency drinks instead of water. Kids should be encouraged to drink water instead of acidic, high carb drinks that will increase the risk of tooth decay.

Awareness must be raised among parents that sports and energy drinks throughout the day have the potential to become another barrier between their children and the healthy smiles they deserve.

The safest drinks that you can drink for your teeth are water, milk, tea and coffee. Obviously no sugar in the tea and coffee!

"The health of your teeth and your smile are very important to making you feel good about yourself."
