The Surgery

This practice was established by John Meares (Senior) in 1963 and moved to its purpose-built location in 2009. We are conveniently located close to Athlone town centre with nearby parking. There is a large public car-park situated across the road from the practice. The surgeries, reception and waiting areas have been all specifically designed and equipped to meet the demands of the discerning 21st century dental patient. There are four state of the art computerized modern surgeries. All surgeries are fully wheel-chair accessible. We provide high quality dental treatment in a patient friendly environment.

We have the latest modern advances in dental technology including digital x-rays. We provide a text service to remind patients of appointments two days beforehand.

Digital photography

Allows us to take instant, high quality images of your jaws and teeth  for treatment planning , to chart progress and for communication with our laboratory or specialist.

Digital xrays

Can be enlarged, studied, discussed and highlighted for details. You can take home a copy if you like! We’ve been digital since 2007 and we find this technology gives us better and faster results. Click here for more information about digital x-rays.
